he last compartment in our tour is the After Torpedo Room. Similar to the forward torpedo room, it contains torpedo tubes #7 through #10, with storage for four additional torpedoes. This compartment contained sleeping quarters for 12 crewmen. The deck in this compartment forms the top of #7 main ballast tank.Additional features in this compartment include:
- After escape trunk and hatch
- Capstan and stern plane tilting motor
- Emergency signal ejector
- Torpedo firing control panel
- Impulse charging manifold
- Torpedo drain manifold
- Torpedo blow and vent manifold
- Hydraulic steering rams for rudder
- Torpedo gyro angle setting regulators
